Activity of Daily Living Training

What is "Activities of Daily Living"?

Activities of Daily Living are basic self-care tasks that individuals need to perform in their everyday lives. For children, ADL training focuses on teaching them the skills and independence to complete these tasks on their own. At Hope Kids, children receive training in:

  • Personal hygiene includes teaching children how to brush their teeth, comb their hair, wash their hands and face, and take a bath or shower.
  • Dressing and grooming.
  • Feeding and mealtime routines
  • Toilet training.
  • Health management includes teaching children basic health management skills, such as taking medication, covering their mouth when coughing or sneezing, practicing good hygiene habits, and seeking help when feeling unwell.

ADL training at Hope Kids for children focuses on promoting independence, and self-care skills, and fostering confidence in performing everyday tasks.
